Allover the world, there are diverse genres of music. The genres vary depending on where each piece of music originated. Whenever i think of African music, particularly Zimbabwean music the first thing that comes into my mind is the mbira instrument.Stella Rambisai Chiweshe, Thomas Mapfumo and the Blacks, Ephat Mujuru are some of the great Zim artist that promoted the mbira instrument. Most urban African musicians seem to neglect the instrument, forgetting the rich melody it produces.
